Assam Building & Other Construction Worker's Welfare Board

The Assam Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board was constituted by the Government of Assam vide Notification No. GLR(RC)135/2007/22 dt. 12/02/08 under Section 18 of Building & Other Construction Workers (RE&CS) Act, 1996 primarily for taking focused initiatives to ensure that the Building and Other Construction workers are not being exploited and appropriate welfare benefits are provided to them ensuring a healthy and safe working conditions. The board has rolled out many flagship initiatives for the well-being of the construction workers.
